Same Latitude, Different Attitude
Olathe, a Colorado Western Slope community, produces a variety of fruits including wine grapes. Olathe is also at the same latitude as Napa Valley. So, when the sun is shining on our vineyard; the sun is at a similar angle to the vineyards in Napa Valley. However, after those similarities, there is a uniqueness only available to Colorado vineyards. Olathe is higher in altitude, the soil is limestone and sandstone and hot days, cool nights provide more intense and deeper flavors. Giving us a Terroir (total growing environment) that give our wines a different attitude.
Is to create wine with INTEGRITY. We approach wine making with the intent to have the Terroir and grapes to present us with their season’s flavors. Admittedly, we spent too much time making the wine, rather than showcasing on the World Wide Web. Read on and find out about our honest, thoughtful and hand-crafted approach to wine making.
We’d love to send on of the Garrett family members right to your door to share our wine, but that’s a tall order for a small family running a 35-acre vineyard and winery. So we are happy to offer the next best thing, the Garrett Estate Cellars VIP wine club. The greatest benefit YOU CHOOSE THE WINES shipped to you, also discounts on purchased wines, wine club member events, and access to our library wines. We grow the grapes, make the wine, and ship it to your door.
At the Winery we do tours by appointment and are very happy to organize a tour and tasting. Look for our "Open House" events throughout the year!

"Your 2015 Pheasant Run Red Blend, I believe this bottle was one of the best "big red" wines from Colorado that I've had yet! Great job. Background: we moved here from southern California" ~Anonymous
